Below is a list of the forthcoming re-enactments and live shows that the Devon Medieval Combat Alliance participate in throughout the year of 2010.

Mon 31st May Braunton Village Fair , the Annual Village Fair at the Recreation Field in Braunton Village. This years theme will be medieval and is an all day event. The Dmca will be attending the event, the field will have commercial and charitable stalls on four sides and a roped central arena will facilitate displays and competitions. This is probably the most popular Village Fair in North Devon with a public attendance of between 6 and 8,000 - depending on the weather. The Rotary Club have been managing this successful Spring Bank Holiday event for over 25 years and all proceeds are donated to international and some local charities and organisations.
Sat 5th June – Sun 6th June Templecombe, Templecombe Medieval Pageant Location : Manor House, Templecombe, Somerset, England, situated on the A357 road five miles south of Wincanton, twelve miles east of Yeovil, The Dmca will unfortunately not be attending this event, but if you are in the area check it out!
Sat 19th - Sun 20th June Tatton Park, battle re-enactment and large market held around a restored medieval hall. Welcome to a weekend of Medieval Life. With all the usual meandering medieval folk, traders, and knights it’s sure to be a weekend to remember, for both public and re-enactors. This year we have Bigger, Better, Battle out on the meadow. Sat 3rd Sun 4th July Dorset Medieval Festival located at Winterbourne Came near Dorchester, the Dmca will be attending this event for the first time this year, come and check out he battle and medieval market situated in beautiful surroundings of Came Park with its spectacular mature trees and picturesque views. Sat 10th – Sun 11th July Tewkesbury. The re-creation of the battle of Tewkesbury, featuring over 2000 re-enactors, from all over Europe will be the most spectacular ever –all we need to make it perfect is some lovely weather, and of course for you to turn up and enjoy it. Tewkesbury Medieval Festival takes place on fields off Lincoln Green Lane, part of the site of the original battle of Tewkesbury of 1471. Sat 24th - Sun 25th July Berkeley Skirmish Welcome to a weekend of Medieval Life set in the grounds of the beautiful Berkeley Castle. Wander amongst the Living History camps and see up close and personal what it was like to be on tour with a medieval army, shop to your hearts content through the market place, with a wide variety of historic traders selling their wares. Sat 31st July Sun 1st Aug Grafton Regis British Armoured Plate event, It is 1483. Edward IV has just died and Richard, Duke of Gloucester has declared Edward V and his brother Richard, illegitimate, and wishes to take the throne. The young Edward is taken from Stony Stratford by Richard's men and then taken to the Bloody Tower. His brother remains free for a while; Grafton Regis during this time was called Grafton Woodville, and was the seat of the Woodville family. Elizabeth Woodville married Edward IV in the chapel in Grafton Regis. Following his death, she and her sons returned to the Northampton area, likely to her parent’s manor in Grafton. The battle weekend is centred round skirmishes between Richard Duke of Gloucester' men, and retainers working for the Woodville family, in order to try to capture the princes and take them to the tower. Sat 14th – Sun 15th Aug Bewl Medieval Festival. Living Hostory, jousting, combat, archery and market, Location : Bewl Reservoir Lamberhurs, Kent, TN3 8JH.

Sat 28th – Sun 29th – Mon 30th August Herstmonceux Castle , Nestling within the Sussex countryside is a 15th century moated castle - Herstmonceux Castle. It is here, in this truly magical setting, that history comes to life. Held annually since 1992 over August Bank Holiday Weekend, England's Medieval Festival at Herstmonceux Castle is Britain's largest three day celebration of the Middle Ages! Sat 11th – Sun 12th Sept Caldicot a Re-enactment run by the Early Medieval Alliance , in the grounds of Caldicot Castle, the castle is open to the general public. Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the middle Ages, the castle has a romantic and colourful history. Find out about its past with an audio tour, explore the medieval towers and take in the breath-taking views of the parklands and surrounding area from the battlements. See the full contact foot tournament and much more with the Day culminating in the spectacle of a clash of arms from this violent and colourful period. Sat 11th Sun 12th Sept Battle of Edgcote 1469 organised by the English Tournament Society, location Chipping Warden near Banbury . Re-enact the Battle of Edgcote, fought on this very site 541 years ago, his is the 2 nd event located at OX17 1LZ on the outskirts of Chipping Warden, Banbury. The event includes Jousting, medieval traders, living history, and archery. Dmca maybe in attendance, for more information keep an eye on this space.
